Tourists wishing to visit Malawi's Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve will benefit from a new airstrip currently being constructed by Tongole Wilderness Lodge employing a local work force from the surrounding community.
Animals will also benefit from the new airstrip which will be used in the continuing wildlife re-introduction programme that's making Nkhotakota an enviable reserve.
More good news comes in the form of an announcement of more funding being made available for the wildlife re-introduction programme into the reserve from the relevant government departments in the near future.
The Tongole Foundation is hoping to create a sustainable wildlife sanctuary within the reserve in which the re-introduced wildlife can be safely bred and excess animals released back into the wild.
