“Jungle Camps and Trails” provides
authentic eco-tourism experiences
through “Jungle camps” that offer visitors
an opportunity to explore, experience and
appreciate various wilderness areas spread
across Karnataka. Each camp is uniquely
situated in a different forest ecosystem and
provides a different ambience. The camps
provide comfortable accommodation and
a number of eco activities among which
are cave explorations, hornbill safari,
butterfly trail, herbal trail, herpeto-trail,

encounters with captive elephants in this

Kulagi Timber Trails Camp
Situated 12km from Dandeli in Dandeli
Wildlife Sanctuary, this camp is ideal
for jungle safari, hornbill safari, cave
exploration treks and timber trails. Four
out of six hornbill species can be sighted
here at any time of the year.

Anshi Evergreen Camp
This camp is situated in the evergreen
forests of Anshi National Park on the
Belgaum-Karwar highway. For a first hand

Gopinatham Country Camp
To tread the paths traversed by the erstwhile
forest brigand Veerappan, visit this camp
and explore its “Mystery trails”. Situated
in Gopinatham village in the Cauvery
Wildlife Sanctuary, about 34km from
Malemadeshwara Hills, the camp provides
excellent opportunities for bird watching
tours, nature walks, mountain biking to
Hogenakal Falls and village tours.

Bhagawati Herbal Camp
Nestled in the hill ranges of the Kudremukh
National Park, this camp is situated 9km
from Kudremukh on the Kalasa-Karkala
road. Trek to Kurinjal Peak, go on a safari in
the forest, take a walk on a herbal trail and
spend the night in a machan at the camp.
