Booking conditions and Cancellation (click here for more details)
A booking is considered confirmed upon receipt of 25% deposit for camping safari or Kilimanjaro climb, 50% for lodge safari or hotel reservations, on our bank account. Only the amount actually arrived on our bank account shall be considered as paid (money transfer costs are to be paid for by the client). The remaining balance must be paid in cash before start of your programme. We also accept Traveller's Cheques (USD), Visa and MasterCard.
Alteration
We reserve the right to alter arrangements or cancel the operation of a schedule should it be necessary for reasons beyond our control. It is essential to understand that in Africa, local conditions are not always predictable and such occurances as border closure, poor road conditions etc. can and do from time to time cause delays, frustrations and diversions from the planned route. We will do our best to minimise inconveniences but cannot accept responsability for matters which are clearly beyond our control. The company also reserves the right to accept or retain any person as a member of any expedition at any time, in which case an equitable amount will be refunded.
Late booking
No hotel or lodge reservation will be done before receipt of a downpayment. In case of late bookings, it is possible that by the time a downpayment is received, one or more hotels/lodges might be full booked. We then try to find a room in another hotel or lodge. The price of the itinerary will be adjusted accordingly.
Hotel booking only
If you only want to book a hotel, wihtout booking a safari, a 5% reservation charge will apply, with a minimum of 25 USD and maximum 100 USD. Full payment is required upfront.
Liability
The company and its agents act only as agents of the passengers in all matters relating to hotel accomodation, tours, transport etc. and shall not be liable for injury, delays, loss or damage in any manner. The company's liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles is governed by the laws of the country in which the safari takes place and no other country. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the action arises. The company reserves the right to employ sub-contractors for all or part of the services. In the event of such right the terms of this will apply. While every care is taken, the company cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to luggage.
Complaints
If you have cause to complain whilst on holiday you must bring it to the attention of the guide or other local representative who will do their best to rectify the situation. It is unreasonable to take no action whilst on holiday and to complain upon return.
Personal insurance
It is strongly recommended that all clients are individually insured. This travel insurance should cover personal accident, medical expenses and repatriation, trip cancellation and loss of personal effects. Make sure your insurer is aware of the type of travel to be undertaken.
E-mails
It sometimes happens that an e-mail does not reach us, as it gets lost on the internet somewhere. If you did not receive a reply within 2 days, we advise to resend your e-mail.
