‘New Worlds’ ad campaign launched
Building upon its earlier ad campaign, Karnataka Tourism has begun the release of a new series of ads to promote its tourist destinations. The ads utilize dramatic images of Karnataka’s iconic destinations such as Hampi and Kabini to highlight the state’s glorious heritage and natural beauty. The ads invite readers to discover new worlds in the state that proudly proclaims itself as ‘One state. Many worlds’. Invoking the readers’ desire to explore and experience, the ads fire the imagination with a glimpse of the excitement that is in store for visitors to Karnataka.
The locations chosen to be highlighted initially were the World Heritage Sites of Hampi and Pattadakal, the forested environs of Kabini and the verdant hills of Chikmagalur. Recce trips resulted in the selection of the exact spots to be shot. Noted photographer, Amol Jadhav, was then commissioned to capture the desired images. A 10-day period of intensive shooting saw some really exceptional photographs of the four chosen locations clicked. These were then incorporated into the ads for the new campaign.
The ‘Discover New Worlds’ campaign can now be seen in select magazines and has begun to generate traction with strong interest being shown by potential visitors as well as the tourism trade.
