After 5 months of closure for an extensive upgrade and re-fit, Kaya Mawa on Likoma Island successfully re-opened on 1 April. With all the staff working 12 hour days, and the new managers (Michelle has jumped ship from Virgin where she was an Upper Class stewardess, whilst Rich has been working for Jamie Oliver) thrown straight in at the deep end, it was a real team effort to get everything completed in time and the new Lodge fully operational. But well worth it! The first guests were blown away with the new look, comfort and service; loving their private pools and sense of being truly spoilt.
